NTE Company (Pty) Limited is a manufacturer of Wattle Extract which is primarily used as a tanning agent in leather production and as a base in natural polyphenolic adhesive for wood and board production.

NTE currently has two wattle extract manufacturing plants in South Africa, one situated in Hermannsburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal, the other in Iswepe, Mpumalanga, with its Head Office based in Pietermaritzburg. NTE has the capacity to process 110 000 tons of bark in a season which traditionally runs from September through to June the following year.
